What is IRC??????

IN my opinion IRC is something that people do for fun, but for many its a perfect waste of time. IRC can be dangerous ( YEAH RIGHT!!!!!! ) well, I gotta tell your guys that once you get addicted, then there is nothing that can stop you from IRCing at least 4 -5 hours a day. BUT I do it for fun, you get to meet a LOT of people, from all over the world at the price of a local phone call. The only disadvantage being that u can't talk to the other person. BUT, for all those shy girls and guys out there ( like me ) its heaven, and you loose all your fears and frights. The only thing about IRC is that you must know how to type AND real fast, or you will find it rather difficult, since 99% of this program involves using the keyboard. But be ready for some insults, and some useless assholes who enjoy watching people suffer............ in IRC you connect to a server either in DALNET, UNDERNET and many other such networks. Then u proceed to a channel (example #Sri-Lanka) and then join in on a group chat taking part in the channel or for you loverboys and lovergirls, there are private chats also available....

The Threats of IRCing.....

The main threats of IRC is caused by people called 'flooders'........ these sons of bitches like seeing you die, and die-ing is caused by a technique called 'flooding', flooding means that the person who 'floods' you, sends a whole load of garbage to your server ( usually a whole load of text, like 'fuck you, fuck you...........' or 'die..... die' or simply some random letters) as your modem cannot handle so much garbage coming in, you get disconnected from the server as a result. It may sound like hell, and it is hell, especially when you are having an important conversation or flirting with someone. This is the not the ONLY threat that is there in IRC, but the most common and the most HATEful. But there are ways of keeping these suckers away.......

Tools Needed................

The most basic tool that you will need is called a 'script' that helps you connect to a server and have fun, this script is available at www.mirc.com but it wont keep those so called 'flooders' away. I recommend you visit one of the sites given in my home page and get yourself a script with 'flood protection'. This will basically keep those assholes in their place so that you wont be disturbed while making keyboard love :)

Once you have got a script, you can then proceed to any one of these channels.
